For I PUC & II PUC Students | Examinations Commence: 30th September 2026
As the Mid-Term Examination 2026 approaches, students of I PUC and II PUC at Jeevith PU College are encouraged to begin their exam preparation with focus, discipline, and confidence. Examinations are not merely a measure of academic performance—they are an opportunity to understand our strengths, identify areas that need improvement, and become better prepared for the challenges ahead.
Success in an examination is rarely achieved through last-minute preparation. It is the result of consistent effort, effective planning, regular revision, and disciplined practice.
Begin with a Clear Plan
The first step towards effective preparation is to understand exactly what needs to be studied.
Identify the subject-wise syllabus and prescribed portions for the Mid-Term Examination. Divide the topics into three categories:
Completed → Partially Prepared → Yet to be Prepared
Give additional attention to topics where your understanding or confidence is low. Completing the syllabus early will provide valuable time for revision and practice.
Create a Realistic Study Timetable
A good PU College study timetable should be practical, balanced, and achievable.
Allocate appropriate time to every subject, giving additional attention to difficult chapters. Include dedicated periods for:
Concept Learning → Problem Solving → Revision → Test Practice → Mistake Correction
Avoid postponing challenging topics until the final days before the examination.
Make NCERT Your Strong Foundation
For II PUC Science students, NCERT is an essential part of PU College exam preparation, particularly in subjects such as Chemistry and Biology.
Read the prescribed chapters carefully and pay attention to:
Definitions • Concepts • Diagrams • Examples • Tables • Reactions • Important Statements
Do not restrict your preparation to simply reading. Practise NCERT-based questions regularly to strengthen your understanding.
Learn by Practicing
Knowing a concept and being able to apply it under examination conditions are two different things.
Practise:
- Previous class tests and assignments
- Numerical problems
- MCQs and objective questions
- Important derivations
- Chemical equations
- Diagrams and labelled representations
- Time-bound question papers
Regular writing practice improves both accuracy and speed.
Follow the 3-Step PU College Revision Strategy
- UNDERSTAND: Complete the concepts and clarify your doubts.
- PRACTISE: Solve questions, MCQs, numerical problems, assignments, and tests.
- RECALL: Close your textbook and try to reproduce what you have learned. This helps identify gaps in your memory and understanding.
Test Yourself Before the Examination
Do not wait for the examination hall to discover how well you have prepared.
Conduct regular self-tests under time-bound conditions as part of your PU College exam preparation. After every test, analyse your performance by asking:
What did I know?
What did I forget?
Where did I make mistakes?
Why did I make those mistakes?
Maintain a small “Mistake Book” and revisit it regularly. Learning from mistakes is one of the most effective ways to improve.
Make Every Hour Count
Effective preparation is not about studying continuously for long hours. It is about using your time intelligently.
Avoid spending an entire day on only one subject. Maintain a balanced routine that allows you to study different subjects, revise previously learned concepts, and practise questions.
Focused study is more valuable than distracted study.
Keep Distractions Away
Your study environment plays an important role in your concentration.
Keep mobile phones and unnecessary distractions away during study sessions. Minimise social media and entertainment, and choose a quiet and organised place to study.
Your attention is one of your greatest study resources. Protect it.
Never Carry a Doubt Forward
If you do not understand a concept, do not leave it unresolved.
Approach your teachers, discuss your difficulties, and clarify your doubts at the earliest opportunity.
A doubt cleared today can prevent several mistakes tomorrow.
Take Care of Yourself
Good preparation also requires a healthy mind and body.
Get adequate sleep, eat properly, stay hydrated, and take short breaks between study sessions. Avoid sacrificing sleep through late-night study, particularly immediately before examinations.
A well-rested mind learns, remembers, and performs better.
The Final Preparation
The Mid-Term Examination is not something to fear. It is an opportunity to measure your preparation and identify how you can improve.
Do not wait for the examination date to motivate you.
Start today.
Stay consistent.
Revise regularly.
Practice sincerely.
Learn from every mistake.
Your performance in the examination will reflect not just what you studied, but how consistently and intelligently you prepared.
