Honouring Freedom, Inspiring Young Minds, and Celebrating the Spirit of India
The spirit of patriotism and pride filled the campus of Jeevith PU College as the institution celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India on 15 August 2026 with great enthusiasm and reverence. The occasion was a heartfelt tribute to the countless sacrifices that shaped our nation’s journey to freedom and a reminder of the responsibility entrusted to every citizen to preserve and strengthen that freedom.
The programme was graced by Dr. Durga Prasad, Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences, Whitefield, Bengaluru, as the Chief Guest. His distinguished presence added immense value to the occasion and provided our students with an opportunity to listen to and interact with an accomplished personality from the field of medical science.
The event was honoured by the presence of Dr. Eregowda, President and Principal, Smt Vinutha Eregowda, Dr. Darshan, Director, and Dr. Shivakumar A, Vice-Principal, along with the dedicated faculty and staff members and the beloved students of Jeevith PU College.
A Proud Beginning to a Memorable Celebration
The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. As the Tricolour rose majestically against the morning sky, the campus resonated with a profound sense of unity, pride, and patriotism. The moment served as a powerful reminder of the courage and sacrifices of those who envisioned a free India.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Durga Prasad reflected on the significance of Independence Day and the responsibilities that accompany freedom. He encouraged students to pursue their aspirations with determination, discipline, and integrity, while using their knowledge and abilities to serve society and contribute to the nation’s progress.
His words resonated deeply with the young minds of Jeevith PU College. He emphasised that education is not merely a pathway to personal success but also a powerful instrument for creating positive change in society. As the Tricolour continued to flutter proudly over the Jeevith campus, the entire Jeevith family stood united in gratitude for the past, pride in the present, and hope for the future.
